SEE THE BEFORE AND AFTER IMAGES, AND READ THE REVISIONS THAT THE STAFF MADE TO BRING EACH PHOTO BACK TO LIFE!
BEFORE   AFTER

The original image on the left was
taken around 1947 and was faded
and inked. The image was black and
white and colorized with oils.
The repairs were made, the tones
adjusted and at the customers
request, the subjects
fingernails were modified from
short to long, then a black and
white final image
was produced.

The image on the left was taken around 1928 and was cracked and had mildew spots. The image was black and white and a child had crayoned on it. The repairs were made, the photo cropped and a new black and white image was produced.

The image on the left was taken in
the 1940’s and was also cracked,
mildewed and had missing areas.
The image was a black and white
photo which was colorized with oils. The repairs were made and the missing
areas replaced and a black and white version was made per the
customers request. We also replaced the colorization and produced a color version as well (not shown here).

The original image on the left was
taken around 1937 and was cracked
and missing areas. The image was black
and white and was colorized with oils.
The repairs were made and the
missing areas replaced. The original colorization was then replaced.

In this 1947 image, the client wanted to have the tears and fading corrected without ruining the antique feel to the photo. She then wanted 5 X 7’s produced to give to her sons. We repaired the tears and the scuffs and amplified the colors but just enough to keep the traditional appearance to the original image.

This photo of a beautiful lady was taken around 1930. Because it was a “wallet style” photo it suffered wrinkling and cracking in some key areas. We scanned this image at a high resolution, took out the wrinkles, filled in the tears and cracks, improved the contrast and produced an 8 X 10” image for this client.

The photo of this child was taken in 1956 and was covered with hundreds of mold spots. We removed the spots, cropped the image and improved the contrast and color for this client who was very happy to have her memories restored.

Even though this couple had many professional photos done of their wedding in 1951, this particular informal shot of their day was also a favorite and they asked us to bring a professional look to this image while also removing mold and scratches. After a high-res scan, we took out the mold spots and scratches, cropped the background, improved the contrast and color and added a this particular blue background per the clients request.

The same couple also wanted us to bring more life to this image of their entire wedding party in 1951. Again there were mold spots and scratches which we removed. We reconstituted the color and contrast and produced an 8 X 10” image.

PHOTO RESTORATION AND REVISIONS CAN BE PERFORMED ON NEWER IMAGES AS WELL. HERE ARE A FEW EXAMPLES.

This image is a recent shot of a
six-year-old at an historic site in Philadelphia. The client wanted the
image of the boy brighter and the
person in the background removed.
The image was also cropped to
highlight the child and the flag and
the colors made more vivid.

Timing is everything and although
the photographer was able to grab
this shot of another historic building in Philly, the details of the structure were
lost in the shadows and the photo
needed to be cropped, lightened and retouched to bring out the building’s architectural beauty.

This image of the Liberty Bell in
Philadelphia was taken in 2010 and
although quality of the photo was
excellent, the photographer wanted
just the bell in the photo and the color brightened. The people were removed,
the colors were brightened and a
new digital version of the image
was output.
